AIIMS Jodhpur – Department of Psychiatry is planning an Online National Quiz Competition for Postgraduate Students in Psychiatry as part of ‘World mental Health Day’ Celebration.

Benefits of Participation

  • All the participants of the prelims quiz will be given E-Certificate of Participation.

​

  • All the participants of the Final Main Live quiz, except the top 3 winners, will be given E-Certificate of Participation in Final Main Live Quiz.

​

  • The first 3 final winners of the Final Main Live Quiz will be provided with the following:

​

  • 1st Prize: Gold Medal + E-Certificate of First Prize Winner

  • 2nd Prize: Silver Medal + E-Certificate of Second Prize Winner

  • 3rd Prize: Bronze Medal + E-Certificate of Third Prize Winner

​

  • The E-Certificates of the Final Main Live Quiz winners will be sent to the email of the winner as well as the email of the Head of the Department of Psychiatry of the respective medical colleges.

​

  • The Medals of the Final Main Live Quiz winners will be sent to the Head of the Department of Psychiatry of the respective medical colleges.

Eligibility Criteria for participation

Currently pursuing MD in Psychiatry or Diploma in Psychiatry or DNB in Psychiatry in any of the MCI recognized medical colleges in India.

Prelims Quiz

Prelims Quiz Competition Procedure:

​

​Those who register for the national online PG competition through the link provided above, before the specified date and time will be sent an e-mail containing the link for participating in the quiz competition as well as the username and password for the same, on / before 8th October 2021 at 2 pm.

​

In case you don’t get the link by then, please contact Quiz Co-ordination committee – nationalpsychiatryquiz@gmail.com for the same.

​

The quiz link will get active at 6:00 pm on 8th October 2021 and will be active till 8 pm on 8th October 2021. The registered user can attempt the quiz, during this period, using the link provided to them in email.

​

The quiz can be attempted only once by one user.

​

All users will be given a summary of the number of correct responses and duration they had taken to complete the quiz immediately.

​

The Top 10 winners of the prelims quiz will be declared on 9th October at 2 pm through the following modes:

Prelims Quiz Rules:


ONLY THOSE WHO REGISTER WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEMPT THE  QUIZ

​

The Quiz will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

​

There will be only one correct response per question


Each correct response will get 3 marks

Each wrong response will be deducted 1 mark


There will be total of 100 questions


The time limit will be 60 minutes for the whole quiz.


The order of questions as well as the responses within each question will be randomized for each user.


Once the quiz is submitted, you will not be able to attempt it again


Once the quiz is submitted, you will be given a summary of correct responses, as well as the duration of attempting the same.

​

In case of tie, those who attempt the quiz in the least time will be given higher ranking.


For example, if two persons – A and B have got 95 out of 100 questions correct, A has completed the same within 45 minutes and B within 50 minutes, then A will be given first rank and B will be given second.


In case multiple persons have got same marks within same time duration, for example, A and B both have got 95 out of 100 questions correct in same time duration – both will be given first rank.


In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the organizers from the Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Jodhpur, will be final.

Final Main Live Quiz

Final Live Quiz Competition Procedure:​​

  • The top 10 prelim quiz winners will have to participate in the final main live quiz, which will be held on 10th October 2021 from 2 pm to 5 pm.

​

  • All the prelims quiz winners will be sent email with zoom link on 9th October 2021 by 5 pm. In case the prelims quiz winners do not get the link by then, please contact the Quiz Co-ordination committee at nationalpsychiatryquiz@gmail.com

​

  • All the final main live quiz participants should join the zoom meeting link 60 minutes before the actual quiz starts, for audiovisual check and for mock quiz practice. I.e. on 10th October 2021 from 2 pm to 3 pm.

​

​

  • After a few minutes of the final rounds, the winners of the quiz will be declared during the live program.

​

Final Live Quiz Rules:

  • All the Final live quiz participants should have two electronic devices – Device 1 and Device 2, both of which has good internet connection.

  • Device 1 for joining the Zoom meeting.

  • Device 2 for entering the Quiz response.

​

  • Devices can be Smartphone / Tablet / Laptop / Desktop Computer, which should have web-camera with good quality video, mic and speaker.

​

  • The participants should join the zoom meeting through the zoom link sent on their mail from 2:30 pm to 3 pm on 10th October 2021 through Device 1. The device should be positioned in such a way that the participant’s face and both hands operating the other device are visible at all times.

​

  • If at any time the participants’ video is switched off, the participant will be disqualified. The whole meeting will be monitored throughout the quiz and will also be recorded from 3 pm to 5 pm. In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the Quiz co-ordination committee will be final.

​

  • The participants should not refer to books or ebooks / ask others for help for responses / browse for responses. If anyone is found to be involved in the same, they will be disqualified.

​

  • The participants will be constantly monitored through the zoom meeting. In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the Quiz co-ordination committee will be final.

​

  • The responses of the quiz should be entered through the Device 2.

​

  • A mock test will be provided to the participants from 2 pm to 3 pm, so that they can get familiarized with the quiz procedure. This mock test will neither be recorded nor live transmitted through YouTube. Hence, all participants are requested to join the link by 2 pm on 10th October 2021.

​

  • The code to start entering the responses in the final main live quiz will be provided on the day of final quiz, i.e., 10th October at 3:00 pm.

​

  • The questions of the Final Main Live quiz will be displayed live:

    • Through the Zoom meeting, and

    • On the participant’s Device no.2

​

  • As the zoom meeting will be live streamed on YouTube, the questions can also be seen by others watching the same through YouTube.

​

  • For each question displayed during the live quiz, all the participants should enter their response through their Device 2.

    • Each question will have to be answered within the specified time limit for that particular question, which will be informed to the participant for each question. This time-limit for the response for each question will range from 1 minute to 3 minutes depending on the question type.

​

  • If a person does not enter the response within a particular time-limit for the question, it will be considered as no response from that participant.

​

  • A summary of the responses given by all the participants for each question as well as the correct answer for each question will be displayed after

    • Responses are received from all participants, OR

    • The time limit for that question is over.

​

  • Again, as this program will be livestreamed, the summary of responses as well as correct answer will also be seen by all the viewers of the YouTube program.

​

  • The participant giving the correct answer in shortest duration of time, will be given more points than a person giving the correct answer in longer duration of time. Hence, try to provide the answer as fast as possible.

​

  • A leaderboard, showing the scores of all participants and which participant is in the lead, will be displayed after each question.

​

  • Since the leaderboard does not take into account the video monitoring by the organizing committee, the final results will not be based only on the leaderboard.

​

  • The final winners will be based on

​

  • The results displayed on leaderboard AND The Video monitoring showing no cheating by the participants. In case of cheating by the participants (Found browsing online for results, referring to books, or asking others for responses), they will be considered as disqualified and they will not be considered as winners.

​

  • The winners of the quiz will be declared after approximately 15 to 30 minutes after completion of the quiz, during the live program. The Top 3 scorers among those who are not disqualified will be declared as winners of the national quiz.

​

  • In case of any issues / discrepancy, the decision of the ‘Quiz Co-ordination committee’ will be final.
